Castle Tours
Smolenice Castle is open to the public:
- from SEPTEMBER until OCTOBER and from MARCH until JUNE, during weekends and public holidays from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (last entry), on the hour.
- from NOVEMBER until FEBRUARY, during weekends and public holidays from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (last entry), on the hour.
- during summer holidays from JULY until AUGUST, every day from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. (last entry), on the hour, except MONDAY!
Maximum capacity of one tour is 50 people!
Tours of the castle are held every hour.
Admission fees for the public
Child under 6 years of age: FREE entry
Children from 6 years of age, students, seniors, disabled people (in slovak language): €4
Family admission fee in slovak language (2 adults + 2 children): €15
Tour in English: 6€ / person – necessary to book in advance

Pedagogical supervision: free entry
Students, seniors, disabled people: €4
Kindergarten students: €1
Minimum entrance fee for a smaller group (from 1 to 4 people): €30
Program for Schools and Kindergartens
Along with the one-hour tour of the castle, we also offer an additional program for kindergarten, primary and secondary school students:
- Forest pedagogy – an interactive one-hour program led by a professional forest educator about ecology, the importance of the forest for humans and other activities can be attended right at the castle. Interesting tools and materials that will catch the students’ attention will be used during the program as well. Additional fee – 1€/student, pedagogical supervision – free entry.

- The Bee Garden – approx. 10 minutes from the castle, there is the Bee Garden in Včelco Smolenice. It offers an interactive program explaining the life and importance of bees and their work, as well as a number of attractive bee-loving plants and interesting sculptures. Duration 60-90 min.
