The Ensemble Thesaurus Musicum file was created in 2015.
His interpretation focuses on chamber vocal and instrumental music of the 16th-18th centuries of European provenance. The ensemble’s repertoire includes works by John Dowland, Claudio Monteverdi, Girolamo Frescobaldi and others. They also orient their activities musicologically and try to revive compositions from the territory of today’s Slovakia in the 16th – 18th centuries. The ensemble performed at several important events and festivals, such as performances at the Orava Castle, Mirbach Palace in Bratislava, in Prešov as part of the Musica Testudinis lute festival, in Vienna as part of the Singe Seele Gott zum Preise event, in Levice as part of the event A night of music or at the Musica Nobilis festival in Spiš. The ensemble was also presented in the Czech Republic, as part of the Theatrum Kuks festival and the Litomyšl Days of Baroque Tradition. The ensemble players are musicians engaged in historically informed interpretation. They interpret the compositions on copies of the original historical instruments.
At the Smolenicky Castle, they will perform as a trio consisting of:
Michal Hottmar – archilute
Andrea Pietrová – singer
Sándor Schmiedeg Szaszvárosi – viola da gamba
